South West Coast Yawl Rowing Association
The South West Coast
Yawl Rowing Association comprises twelve rowing clubs in West Cork. The
Association has for over thirty years run the South West Championship
traditionally run over five regattas at Union Hall, Castletownshend,
Baltimore, Schull and Glandore. The Association in partnership with the
Coastal Rowing Association also runs the Cork County Championships every
second year. The Association is a member of the Irish Coastal Rowing
Federation and member clubs compete at the All Ireland Championships
each year at venues around Ireland.
Cork Coastal Rowing Association
The Coastal Rowing Association is the Respresentative Association for the Sport of Coastal Rowing in South and
East Cork. We cover a large area of County Cork and have seven
affiliated clubs namely: Kinsale and Dock, Crosshaven, Whitegate,
Rushbrooke, Cobh Fishermans, Passage West, Blackrock & East Ferry. As an
Association we are affiliated to the Irish Coastal Rowing Federation who
are the governing body of Coastal Rowing in Ireland. We organise
regattas both Championships and fundays throughout the summer months at
various location throughout our division

The ICRF are the Coastal Division of Rowing Ireland.
They have a combined membership of approximately 150 clubs and in excess
of 6,000 registered rowers, this allows the combined organisation to
offer rowing in almost every corner of the country. Although coming
under the umbrella of Rowing Ireland, the Irish Coastal Rowing
Federation continues to administer all aspects of coastal rowing in
Ireland.

Governing Body for Rowing in Ireland and represents over 80 Clubs across
the four provinces. Rowing is one of Ireland's most successful sports,
having won multiple World Championships over the last two decades.
